My name is Manny Diaz and I am a veteran and award winning Design Director.

 

I am currently working on an unannounced project for Ubisoft. I most recently guided the Level Design Direction for the entirety of the Open World across all studios in Tom Clancy's The Division.

I have over 13 years of experience crafting immersive user experiences as a Director, Lead, and Designer. I also have experience as a Cinematics Designer and as an Associate Producer, guiding cutting-edge projects from conception to delivery. Beyond interactive media, I have experience in film production working on indie and mainstream films in the early 2000s as a Production Assistant, Script Reader, and Grip.

My strongest area of expertise is in creating immersive user experiences. I have acute knowledge of the sensory cues needed to guide individuals through environments, pace out narrative beats, and subconsciously story tell through environmental staging.

I am adept at delivering vision through strong verbal communication and design documentation. I have been very fortunate to have had success by continuously highlighting and focusing teams around the core pillars of a game. I feel that my strength is in making the final product a tangible idea that a development team can rally around, explore, and push to new heights.

I am a proven creative with a history of executing on vision by delivering award-winning, critically acclaimed, and highly profitable content on time and on budget. I know how to direct the creative endeavours of international teams with work experience in the US, UK, Canada, Sweden, and France. I have knowledge working on existing IPs like Star Wars, as well as experience creating ground breaking new IPs like Watch_Dogs and Tom Clancy's The Division.
